Build a career with a crew that does the hard trees.
Rangel Brothers has been taking down, trimming and clearing trees across Northeast Ohio since 2010. We run a 108-foot crane, a tracked spider lift and a five-man crew, and we hire people who care about doing the work safely and leaving the property clean.
Established enough to have the equipment for difficult work. Small enough that your crew knows your name.
The right equipment
A 108-foot boom crane, a 90HD+ tracked spider lift, a bucket truck, two Bandit chippers and a skid steer. You work with real machines, not just a saw.
A small, tight crew
A five-man crew on every job. You're known by name, and what you do on a pick matters to the person next to you.
Safety is the method
Ground protection mats under the machines, cones around the drop zone, and crane picks instead of dropped limbs. Hard trees come down in controlled sections.
Local since 2010
Rangel Brothers is a Painesville company with deep roots in Lake County and the surrounding Northeast Ohio counties.
Interesting work
Over houses, between garages, behind fenced yards: every job is a different puzzle, from routine trims to storm call-outs.
Work you can point to
At the end of the day the tree is down, the lawn is intact and the site is clear. You can see exactly what you did.

Full-timePainesville, OH · work across Lake County & Northeast OhioTree ClimberTake trees down and shape them up in sections — by rope, from the bucket or from the tracked spider lift.View details & apply +
You'll be the one up in the tree. Most removals here are sectional: limbs and trunk come off in controlled pieces, often with the crane taking the weight before the cut. The work is hands-on, physical and detail-driven.
What you'll do
Climb, rig and lower or crane-lift sections of trees for removals
Trim and prune, including weight reduction and removing broken or overhanging limbs
Work from the bucket truck and the 90HD+ tracked spider lift as the job requires
Communicate with the ground crew and crane operator on every pick
Inspect trees and flag hazards before starting
What we're looking for
Previous commercial tree-climbing experience
Confident with rigging, ropes and chainsaw work at height
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in Northeast Ohio weather
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Painesville yard

The ground crew is what makes a job safe and fast. You'll feed the chipper, handle ropes and wood, run cleanup and help leave every property the way we'd want ours left. A good way into tree work if you're willing to work hard and learn.
What you'll do
Feed brush into the chipper and keep the staging area clear
Handle ropes, set cones and ground protection mats, and help rig loads
Move and load wood, with the skid steer when needed
Rake and clean up so the site is clear before we leave
Help set up and break down equipment each day
What we're looking for
Willingness to work hard outdoors and take direction
Physically able to lift, drag and work on your feet all day
Tree-service experience is helpful but not required

Plan and execute lifts with the climber, keeping the load controlled from cut to staging area
Operate the boom smoothly around houses, wires and tight yards
Inspect and maintain the crane truck and rigging gear
